Upon visiting Bolivia for the first time in 2020 I spent three months at Onca Wildlife Rescue at the gate of the Madidi National Park working with rescued indigenous wildlife. As my passion for the jungle grew I returned twice to spend over a year more at Onca and in Parque Ambue Ari (one of the parks of the organization Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi) working with jaguars, pumas, capuchin monkeys, and other endemic species. Additionally I travelled around the country to experience its versatile geography, climate and culture from Rurrenabaque and a trip to Río Yacuma in the Amazon Basin through the unique beauty of Lake Titicaca, and the salt desert of Uyuni to the overwhelming contrast of cities such as La Paz, Potosí and Santa Cruz.
