NeoFolk was established by Judit and Péter in 2005. Their music is pulsing and expressive world music, consisting of own compositions, poems set to music, and folk song adaptations based on the musical heritage of the Carpathian Basin, the Balkan or the Middle-East. They earned several prizes, including the main prize of the composer’s contest hosted by the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble and the Hungarian Heritage House. They wrote music for several choreographies (including the above mentioned HSFE) as well. Their first album, „Kezdet” (Beginning) came out in 2007, which was followed by „Babás szerkövek” in 2009 and „Kövecses” in 2015. During the last years they got invitations to several countries, including Bosnia (Winter Festival, Sarajevo), Italy, Sweden, and Germany.
